CONNECTIONS - MAKING DISCIPLES

Women Of U.N.I.T.Y.

Women of Unity at New Hope Church works hand in hand with church leadership, supporting the visions and goals the Lord has given us. Women of Unity accepts every woman for who she is but is willing to help her become the woman God wants her to be.

We organize meals for shut ins, sick, or people who have had surgery, and ones that are in need of emergency help, i.e., from a fire, flood, etc. We also organize special events such as parties and banquets.

Hi, I'm Carla Barnard, Director of Women of Unity.  Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.  If you would like information on our upcoming events, to join our ministry, or just sit in on our next meeting, feel free to email me at cjbarnard1@att.net.

Once a month or every couple of months, the Women of Unity will pick a local non-profit to bless such as these which have been selected in the past.
  • Helping Hands Food Pantry – non-perishable food
  • New Beginning Pregnancy Center – diapers and new-baby items
  • Housing Services Mid-Michigan – collected bedding and kitchen items

We Stand on God's Word, and firmly believe that our lives should reflect the life of Jesus. His Boldness, His Purity, and His Strength. We meet with our brothers in the Lord in order to uplift and strengthen each other through Bible reading, praying, and uplifting conversation.  We truly believe that when we focus our lives on Jesus and through bearing each other's burdens we become stronger.

Every second Saturday we gather together to share a time of iron sharpening.  These events begin at 9 AM and include a breakfast buffet along with bible discussions and an opportunity to meet with and uplift each other in the Lord.

Proverbs 18:24  "A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."

Life Groups

Life Groups are the perfect venue to cultivate friendships at New Hope Church and to invite your friends and neighbors to attend an informal Bible Study in comfortable surroundings. Various locations and times are offered during the spring groups (March – May) and the fall groups (September – November). These groups are small enough to grow friendships and large enough to not become stagnant. Contact us today to learn where there’s a Life Group near you.

Discipleship Classes

One of the most important responsibilities of the church is to make sure the gospel, the Good News of God’s Kingdom, is spread to all mankind. Jesus said in Matthew 28:18-20:

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age.” Amen.

New Hope Church offers discipleship classes to those who want to approach God more closely through faith in Jesus Christ. The “Road to Discipleship” is a 21-week course including Bible reading and personal reflection and evaluation. You and your coach will bond in friendship as you share and learn together.

Class times and places are at the discretion of the participants and are ongoing 52 weeks of the year.

Class 101 gives an inside look of who New Hope Church is and what we believe. Pastor Randy shares the beginnings of this church and how we got to where we are today. During this time Pastor Randy will share his vision for New Hope and what the essential beliefs are. A portion of the time will deal with why each believer should become a member in a local church and how God uses the local church to equip and help us grow.

After taking Class 101 it is vitally important to learn how to develop the habits necessary to grow spiritually. In Class 201 Pastor Randy will explain the Four Habits for Spiritual Maturity that are needed to grow in your spiritual walk.

In Class 301 Pastor Randy explains how God has given each one of us a special S.H.A.P.E. This SHAPE is your unique Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality and Experiences which determine the ministry God has designed especially for you. By the time you leave this class you will have a greater understanding of yourself and others in relation to ministry.
